It is difficult for me to explain the feeling I get at the start of one of our road trip adventures. It is as though I am entering a butterfly’s cocoon, a place of safety. And when the last of the things are packed into the car and the doors clunk shut, it is then that a sense of euphoria and safety comes flooding over me.
