By the time I entered the corporate world, these skills were so ingrained and had become so intuitive that I’m quite proud of my ability to read a room with a glance. I have the ability, not always accurately, but I have the ability to hear the unsaid words that are hanging in the air. I can feel the emotion moving through a negotiation and around the table. I’m not sure if there’s any other explanation for my ability in these areas than what I experienced in that school during that not very fun time of my life.
